CacheConfig.CacheTTL was set to DefaultCacheTTL (24 hours) and never
read, so cached images never expired. Remove the field, the constant
and the line that set it. Cached source and transformed images stay
until eviction removes them to keep the cache within cache_max_bytes.
A new test caches a source and a transformed image, sets back two days
fetched_at in source_metadata, fetched_at and last_accessed_at in
source_content, created_at and last_accessed_at in variant_content, the
fetched_at in the source's metadata file, the created_at in the .meta
file, and the access and modification times of those two files and of
the two image files, and checks that both are still served from the
cache without a new upstream fetch.
Existing tests lose only the CacheTTL line of their cache config.

Cache.metaCache was declared and never used, so every cache hit read
and parsed the variant's .meta file. It is now an LRU
(github.com/hashicorp/golang-lru/v2) of up to 10,000 variants' content
types, filled by StoreVariant and by a read of a .meta file, so a hit
for a variant it holds skips the .meta read. Only a type from a .meta
file or a store ever enters memory, never the application/octet-stream
fallback, and a stored type is never replaced by an older one from
disk. The variant file itself is still opened on every hit, so nothing
is served from memory alone.

Accumulating milestone branch. One squashed commit per closed issue; `next` is kept green and mergeable to `main` at any time without notice.
Landed so far:
- `chore: update golangci-lint to v2.12.2 with canonical config` (#54) — canonical v2-schema `.golangci.yml`, pins bumped in `Dockerfile` and `script/bootstrap`, tree at `0 issues.`. Three behaviour deltas are recorded in that PR's body: `Cache.StoreVariant` takes a context, `MetadataStorage.Store` no longer leaks temp files on failure, and the `signing_key` too-short error text gained a `value too short:` prefix.
Sequencing for the milestone is tracked in #103.
