README.md is rewritten from scratch, with the old text as the reference for what a reader needs covered and the code on next as the source of truth. It now opens with what pixa is, what it is for and how to use it, then the deployment notes, then the design: concepts, routes, image URLs, signed and encrypted URLs, source hosts, metadata, limits and storage. The settings reference follows, one list item per setting under the heading the config test reads, with the cache_max_bytes default stated with its 500 MiB floor. Development and testing come last. Sentences are short, every identifier is in backticks, and project history, milestones and issue links are gone. Model: fable-5-1
