I envision a live request viewer functionality backend in the waf that allows for an admin to review inbound traffic and dispositions, inspect client metadata and counts, and optionally add netblock-level or AS-level or country-level bans or throttles.
Remember we are for the smallweb, we're not trying to handle thousands of rps.
Held until after 1.0 (sneak, #174 (comment)). It builds on servewaf (#165), which sees every request, its first 64 KiB of body and its disposition. Not started; the manager posts a design here for sneak before any building.
Definition of done
An admin can watch servewaf's inbound requests as they come, with each one's disposition.
From there an admin can see a client's metadata and counts, and add a ban or a throttle for a netblock, an AS number or a country.
README.md and SPEC.md describe it.
