What was cut:
TODO.md Completed Steps: arguments for the approach taken, how each bug was found, rejected alternatives, notes about issues that were still to come, and itemised detail inside evidence (the thirteen-input parse matrix, the list of thirteen cached steps, verbatim linter output). Bare issue numbers are now full links.
script/ and both Dockerfiles: comments that defended a past decision (why $GOPATH/bin is off PATH, why the linter binary copy was replaced, "bitten twice already"), and repeats of what another file already explains.
Kept on purpose:
Every timing and CACHED / (cached) record showing that a gate really ran, the build times over the five-minute ceiling, and the --network none measurement of golangci-lint config verify.
Entries describing machinery since retired (script/verify-linter-pin, the bootstrap version check): they record what landed at the time.
"caching of the lint run is waived by ruling" in Dockerfile.lint, and "per the owner ruling" in the TODO.md entry for #46, as disclosures.
Pre-tracker entries, bar one anecdote: no issue holds their history.
TODO.md §Workflow now says: branch from next, open the PR against next, an independent review gates each merge to next, and only the owner merges next to main.
Judgement call: in the entry for #46, I cut the wall-clock times that sat beside the lint-step times for the same two runs. The step times are the record that the linter ran.

Completed Steps entries keep what landed, the traps, every disclosure
and every record that a check ran; the argument and history go, with
bare issue numbers turned into full links. Comment blocks in script/,
Dockerfile and Dockerfile.lint keep the trap and drop the defence of
past decisions. TODO.md Workflow now branches from next, targets next,
and leaves merging next to main to the owner. Only comments and
Markdown change.
