This repo holds the files of the Go template (https://git.eeqj.de/clawbot/go-template-repo), without its history, renamed for this project and trimmed to what a chat bot needs, following the repo standards (make check green, all linting in Docker, README.md, AGENTS.md).
The bot runs as one Docker container, together with the SimpleX Chat command-line client it talks to, and keeps its SimpleX profile on a volume, so its address survives a restart.
It accepts every contact request automatically.
It answers an arithmetic message with its result: 2 + 2 gets 4, 5 * 5/2 gets 12.5. Anything it cannot compute gets a short error reply, never a crash.
Tests cover the arithmetic, including both examples above.
One instance runs in the background on sandcastle, and its SimpleX contact address is posted on this issue.
