it should have some more cards that show latest updated route, latest updated as, oldest updated route, oldest updated as, as with most routes, as with fewest routes, count of bogon announcements (linked to a page that lists all the bogon announcements), and other useful links you can think of that reflect the interesting bits of the current global routing table

also add a card with links to the most important/popular companies and networks, like apple, google, aws, dod, a top 10 of ASes as it were. sort by last updated.

Plan. New cards on /:

  • Newest and oldest updated route: prefix, origin AS and time, each linked.
  • Newest and oldest updated AS.
  • The AS that originates the most prefixes, and one that originates the fewest. Many ASes originate a single prefix, so that card says how many do and links the most recently updated of them.
  • Bogon announcements: the number of announced prefixes inside reserved address space (the IANA special-purpose address registries: private, shared, loopback, link-local, documentation, multicast and the like) or originated by a reserved AS number (private, documentation, AS23456). It links to a new page, /bogons, listing each one with its origin AS and why it is a bogon. Unallocated space is not counted: that needs a list downloaded from outside.
  • Prefixes announced by more than one origin AS, which is how a hijack shows: the number, linking to a page listing them.
  • Well-known networks: Apple, Google, Amazon (AWS), Microsoft, Meta, Cloudflare, Akamai, Netflix, the DoD Network Information Center, Cogent, Hurricane Electric, Level 3, Arelion, NTT and MIT, each with its AS number, sorted by when its routes were last updated, newest first.

Built after the in-memory routing table of #122 lands. The most and fewest prefixes per AS, the bogons and the multiple-origin prefixes each need a pass over the whole table. Today that table is 127 million rows on disk on your instance; after that change it is in memory.

Built in #196: the cards on /, and the new pages /bogons and /multiple-origins. Multicast space counts as reserved, taken from the IANA address space registries. The PR lists the other judgement calls.
