Owner's ruling (#143 (comment)): "there are no existing backups, nobody has ever used this pre-1.0 prototype alpha software." The standing rule from that ruling: quak keeps no migration, no handling of old data and no backward compatibility.
next still carries one such piece, left out of #146 as out of scope:
The content cache in src/library/content.ts recognises a live photo that an earlier quak version cached as one ZIP (isZip and its two callers, around lines 286, 716 and 987), removes it, and fetches again.
README.md around line 883 describes that.
Definition of done:
isZip, its callers, and every comment, test and README sentence about an earlier version's live-photo ZIP are gone.
How a live photo is handled today does not change: unpacked into its image and video, with the JSON file naming them. Its tests stay.
The check gate, make check and make docker, is green on next. One PR to next, independently reviewed and squash-merged.
