Settings, Network well. The help text in src/popup/index.html (lines 928-930) reads: "Select the Ethereum network. Switching networks will update the RPC and Blockscout endpoints to their defaults."
What happens
On next (8e52528), release build, Chrome: set the Sepolia RPC to a local node, switch to Ethereum Mainnet, then back to Sepolia. The RPC field shows the local node again, not Sepolia's default. That is the intended behaviour (applyChainSwitchFields() in src/shared/chainSwitchFields.js), but the text on the screen tells the user the opposite: that switching away throws their own endpoint away. A user who runs their own node is told the wallet will move them onto a public endpoint.
What should happen
README, Settings: switching "restores the RPC and Blockscout endpoints last used on that network, or that network's defaults if it has none". The help text should say that.
Severity: minor
Definition of done
The Network help text says that switching restores the endpoints last used on that network, or its defaults if there are none.
