Welcome, then AddWallet, then Home, on a fresh install. src/popup/index.js (lines 218-226) picks the first address as the active one only when the popup opens. The three import paths in src/popup/views/addWallet.js add the first wallet and go to Home without setting state.activeAddress.
What happens
On next (8e52528), release build, Chrome: create the first wallet from Welcome. Home opens with an empty headline: no balance, no active address line, and "Address 1" is not bold. Pressing Send or Receive shows the flash "No active address selected." and does nothing. It stays like that until the user taps an address row or closes and reopens the popup.
Meanwhile the background already treats the first address as active (activeAddressOf() in src/background/index.js), so a site that connects is given an address the popup does not show as active.
What should happen
README, Home: the screen shows the active address's balance and the active address, and Send and Receive act on it ("Receive" → Receive). Right after the first wallet is created, its first address should be the active one, as it is after a reopen.
Severity: minor
Definition of done
Adding a wallet while no address is active makes its first address active, on all three import tabs.
A test creates the first wallet and then opens Receive from Home without reopening the popup.

Same on Firefox 153: after creating the first wallet from Welcome, no address is active.
